KARL LAGERFELD – FASHION FOR THE NOSE…
“I love perfume. I have worked with fragrances in the past and I’m thrilled to be launching new ones again today. I love women’s fragrances and I love men’s fragrances. They make life more beautiful. Perfume is like fashion for the nose…”
Karl Lagerfeld has written a new chapter in the fragrance history and launched in 2014 his own signature scents in the wake of his new clothing line under his own brand name. Throughout his career Karl Lagerfeld has really established himself as the undisputed emperor of fashion. He revitalized Chanel, and is still the mastermind behind the brand’s surprising and famous stunts on the catwalk. This is what characterizes Karl, he refuses to do things that have been done before, and he does not look back. As chief designer for both Chanel, Fendi, as well as his own clothing line, in addition to his involvement in licensing agreements for e.g. Coca Cola, Tokidoki, Melissa Shoes and Barbie, Karl’s avant-garde in everything he does. It comes as no surprise that it was Karl, who in 2004 was the first of a number of designers to collaborate on a clothing collection for H & M, in what has now become an annual event for the retailer.
